Artist Statement

Abstraction is a language in and of itself. Through using a variety of abstract painting techniques, I create a narrative composed of shapes, colours and textures through which to communicate with the world. I’m inspired by the endless potentiality of creative form and expression.

I believe that abstract art serves a larger purpose for the wellbeing of individuals and society. Through viewing abstract forms the viewer is encouraged to grasp the painting first with their emotions. The goal of my work is to create an experience for the viewer to connect with a deeper part of themselves; to remember who they are and who they want to become.
